The Iranian diplomat made the remark in a meeting with the governor of Herat Province, northwest Afghanistan, as well as the head of Herat’s chamber of commerce and its members.
Bigdeli called for joint efforts to facilitate trade by businessmen of the two countries.
The Afghan officials expressed gratitude for Iran’s cooperation with their country and spoke about challenges faced by Afghan importers.
The officials said that efforts are underway in Afghanistan to attract foreign investors.
